By accessing or using howtodeploy ("Service"), operated by HowToDeploy ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
howtodeploy is a managed hosting platform that enables users to deploy open-source applications to their own cloud provider accounts. We provide provisioning, configuration, and management tooling — we do not host applications on our own infrastructure.
You must create an account via our supported OAuth providers to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
howtodeploy uses a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model. You provide API keys for your own cloud provider accounts (e.g., DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr, Linode, AWS). All infrastructure is provisioned in your accounts and billed directly by your cloud provider. We encrypt your API keys at rest and only decrypt them when performing deployment actions. We are not responsible for charges incurred on your cloud provider accounts.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles all customer service inquiries and returns.
Refunds: We want you to be happy with the Service. If you are not satisfied, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all refund requests must be made directly through Paddle support at paddle.net or via your email receipt. Refunds are issued at the discretion of Paddle in accordance with their Checkout Buyer Terms and Conditions.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
You agree not to:
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of HowToDeploy. Applications you deploy remain your property (or are subject to their respective open-source licenses). We claim no ownership over your data or deployed applications.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HowToDeploy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or fail to maintain an active subscription. Upon termination, your deployed applications will be suspended. You remain responsible for any cloud provider charges until you manually delete your servers.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at support@howtodeploy.app.
